Three decades following the initial report of scanning tunneling and atomic force microscopies and the first description of carbon nanotubes, novel nanomaterials are opening up new opportunities in imaging, sensor design and other applications in biology and biomedicine. The 45th Miami Winter Symposium will bring together leaders in the field to discuss breakthroughs in new nanomaterials and the challenges in translating these materials into products for the clinic and laboratory.
