   | MME 2007 - Micromechanics & Microengineering Europe 20072007-09-16 - 2007-09-18Guimaraes, Portugal The 18th european workshop on micromachining, micro mechanics and micro systems will take place in Guimaraes, Portugal on September 16th to 18th 2007. The workshop is a well established event in the field and provides a lively forum for discussion and debate on the latest developments in the field. The aim is to promote research in, and the application of micro mechanics in Europe. Scope and Content The workshop covers the areas of materials, processing technology and devices. This year will have a special focus in biomedical applications and Bioengineering areas. The organising committee invites papers in any subject related to Micromachining, Micromechanics and Microsystems, including, but not restricted to: - Fabrication technologies and processes - Materials - Nanotechnology - Micro/nano sytems - Design and simulation tools - Biomedical devices and technologies - Microcomponent packaging and solutions - Device and process characterization - Sensing and actuation applications - Microfluidic components and systems - System integration of MEMS, NEMS, RF MEMS and MOEMS - Bio MEMS Three poster sessions are planned and authors will be given the opportunity to highlight the essence of their work in a 3-minute oral presentation prior to the poster session. Ample time will be available during the poster sessions for discussions of new ideas and results. Young scientists are encouraged to present their on-going work.
