Overview

As a pioneer in the micromachined IC industry since 1988 with over 80 MEMS patents, Analog Devices' Micromachined Products Division (MPD) is a leading supplier of MEMS-based inertial sensors to the automotive industry for use in auto safety applications such as airbag, rollover, and stability control systems. With more than 200 million sensors shipped that meet the auto industry's demanding reliability requirements, MPD's technology is now being adopted by a growing list of consumer product OEMs. Used as motion, tilt, shock, and vibration sensors, MPD's accelerometers are transforming the way consumers use mobile phones, media players, video games, cameras, and computers.

The Micromachined Products Division currently has an opening for a Sr. Process Engineer. This position will provide engineering sustaining support for the Wafer Level Capping area including day to day support, new equipment startup and Capping process development.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Material Science, Chemical Engineering or other equivalent technical discipline
  • 5+ years engineering experience, preferrably in a Wafer Fab sustaining capacity
  • Knowledge of DOE, SPC and semiconductor fundamentals

    Additional Qualifications:

    Process integration and process characterization experience highly desirable. Project Management / Leadership skills a plus.

    Responsibilities

  • Provide line support (sustaining) for the Capping area – lot dispositions, training and defect reduction efforts
  • Support the development, evaluation and transfer into manufacturing of new products and processes
  • Support evaluation and acceptance of addition equipment as necessary
  • Maintain Capping area at QS9000 and ISO9000 levels
  • Lead and/or participate in TQM teams for yield improvement
  • Work to streamline and improve manufacturing area control systems to ensure consistent manufacturing processes
  • Perform experiments including data analysis using statistical methods
  • Participate in Front End Material Review Board and Technical Review Board
