We are seeking a Senior Engineer – Inertial/Vibration MEMS Development to join our dynamic team RequirementsRequired Skills: At least 3-5 years of direct hands-on experience in designing, fabricating, packaging and testing of micromachined (MEMS) devices. Needs to be proficient in • Microstructure design, using both analytical techniques and modeling/simulation tools, • CAD mask-layout, • Working in a Wafer Fab environment using bulk micromachining processes • Design-of-experiments techniques • Familiarity with testing and characterization methods and equipment Education required is an MS in mechanical or electrical engineering. Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment is a requirement. Preferred Skills: A Ph.D. in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or experience with Inertial/Vibration sensor devices, ability to perform calculations for electrical, mechanical and thermal analysis and understanding of electromechanical & thermal-mechanical analysis will be considered a plus. Responsibilities• Reports to VP Product Development. Summary of Duties: Responsible for development engineering issues for our MEMS Vibration Sensor Development activities. Direct responsibility would include involvement in the MEMS sensor design, overseeing the MEMS process design & development, product release to the manufacturing line, and performance/yield enhancement projects. Directly interfaces with external customers for the specified projects. Other responsibilities would include serving as member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop the required test/quality metrics and device packaging.
