RequirementsIndividuals with research interests in either of physical and biological MEMS and microfluidics are encouraged to apply. We wish to appoint a candidate of established or emerging international research leadership status to this post. Candidates should have an established record of research and evidence of international recognition in a relevant area of MEMS, and to have clear research leadership achievements or potential. The post will be located in the School of Mechanical & Systems Engineering, but the person appointed will be expected to collaborate with other groups working on both physical and biological MEMS and to work on any of the campuses within the City as appropriate. The post will be established with an attractive package of support funding and access to outstanding facilities. ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have a good track record of high quality research publications and income generation, together with enthusiasm, potential for leadership and communication skills. They will be expected to play an increasing leadership role in their area, developing research, securing funding, advising colleagues and supervising postgraduate students.
