Overview

Applications are invited for a tenure track faculty position in the Chemical Engineering Department, University of Louisville, at the Assistant Professor level, with preferred starting date of July 1, 2008. Successful candidates will contribute to the core teaching mission of the department by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Chemical Engineering.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, an earned doctorate in Chemical Engineering or related field and be proficient with oral and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will contribute to the core teaching mission of the department by teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Chemical Engineering. The candidate is expected to develop a nationally-recognized, externally funded research program on micron-scale technology applied to the development of advanced materials, energy sources, drug delivery systems, chemicals or sensors. His or her research should leverage the University’s new class 100 microfabrication cleanroom facilities.
