Overview

MEMStaff Inc. is conducting a search for MEMS Design Engineers. Positions are available in several locations including East Coast, West Coast, and Midwest United States. The desired candidates will have a strong background in Finite Element Analysis as well as mechanical modeling of MEMS devices and the validation of those models.

Requirements

- MS or Ph.D. in electrical/mechanical engineering or material science/physics - 5+ years of experience in MEMS modeling and characterization - Experience with ANSYS or COMSOL, CoventorWare, Matlab/Simulink, and Labview - Experience focused on problem solving/root cause analysis in a development environment is preferred. - Some desired experiences are: *Modeling of process induced stresses *Extraction of mechanical lumped element parameters from FEA models for MEMS structures/geometries *Electrostatic and coupled field modeling *Non-linear dynamic modeling of mechanical stress tests *Model verification and extraction of mechanical parameters through measurement and characterization *Circuit design experience and the ability to interface with circuit designers a plus *Cadence or Mentor Graphics experience a plus

Responsibilities

- Design MEMS transducers using analytical, FEA, and CFD techniques - Design prototype and production MEMS devices - Run simulations to troubleshoot problems as well as optimize design of existing MEMS products as well as suggest, prove, and implement solutions and optimizations - Develop and organize documentation of design, test, simulation, and characterization functions - Work with teams to characterize and improve performance and understanding of prototype and production MEMS devices
