Overview

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology is inviting applications for a research position in the area of MEMS.

Requirements

Applicants should have a recent PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related fields. Requires extensive experience in mechanical analysis using FEM (ANSYS). Understanding of driving electronics and standard digital interfaces is advantageous.

Responsibilities

The position will involve the design and the development of processing techniques optimized for fabricating MEMS device arrays. Extensive understanding and hands-on microfabrication experience with a broad range of MEMS process technologies including lithography, electroplating, wet and dry etching, metallization, CVD, planarization, wafer bonding, etc. are essential. Depending on experience and individual preferences, project opportunities include the design and fabrication of a new device, or the development of new wafer-scale fabrication technologies.
