Overview

A venture capital backed company in the Boston area is looking for a Senior MEMS Process Development Engineer to be responsible for process development and foundry interface activities within the company. This individual will be involved in development and characterization of new processes and assist design teams by providing foundry feedback to ensure that product, process, and manufacturing metrics are met.

Requirements

- M.S. or Ph.D. with 5+ years of MEMS and semiconductor experience - Excellent understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes (front end through final test). - Must possess a comprehensive understanding of process characterization. - Strong background in materials, metallurgy - Experience with MEMS relays a plus - Proficient in statistical data analysis, including process control (SPC) and DOE - Demonstrated excellent organizational, time and project management skills. - Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, capable of interfacing within all levels of the organization; proficient language skills, written and oral. - Ability to prosper in a fast-paced, high-energy, startup environment

Responsibilities

- Manage wafer foundry interactions from design and development to manufacturing. - Characterize process performance to assure products meet performance, cost, quality and reliability requirements. - Assure processes and foundries meet or beat targeted yield requirements. - Execute and manage project schedules that meet product expectations. - Quickly identify problems and implement solutions to minimize project impact. - Provide input in development meetings and regular product reviews. - Perform statistical analysis to identify trends and performance correlations. - Understand product requirements and translate them into tangible action plans.
