Two new domain expert positions: MEMS/fluidics modeling and geology/environmental sensorsLurie Nanofabrication Facility, University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI)Phone: 734-763-6719 For more information: http://www.umich.edu/~jobs/ OverviewThe Lurie Nanofabrication Facility (LNF) at the University of Michigan is a shared user facility available to research groups from government, industry and universities, currently serving over 250 users. The LNF has been part of the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network (NNIN) since 2004. The NNIN is an integrated network of user facilities, supported by the National Science Foundation, serving the needs of nanoscale science, engineering and technology researchers across the country. MEMS and microfluidics modeling domain expert: This person will be responsible for developing modeling capabilities at Michigan, especially focusing on MEMS/NEMS and micro/nanofluidics, and will establish relationships with communities involved in such computational research, and assist faculty and researchers with their projects and development of their research programs as needed. Geology and environmental sciences domain expert: This person will be responsible for establishing and/or developing relationships with the geosciences and environmental sensing communities. This person will be actively working with the communities involved in geosciences and environmental sciences to expand the use of micro and nano technologies in these communities and initiate or support projects that could make use of micro and nanofabrication technology, such as different types of sensing or characterization systems.
