Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: * Master's degree and two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate specialization and four years of experience.

Desired Qualifications: * Ability to read/interpret electrical and mechanical schematics. * 5 years experience in the semiconductor equipment industry. * Some level of expertise in equipment troubleshooting and repair is required. Circuit board level troubleshooting is a plus. * Top consideration will be given to those having prior experience with troubleshooting and repair of semiconductor process equipment.

Salary: $40,000-$41,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

The College of Engineering and Computing is currently seeking an AMERI Research Analyst to join its team of professionals. The successful incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of AMERI laboratory. Implementing and interpreting operating procedures and analytical methods. Overseeing the operational readiness of equipment and instruments in the AMERI analytical and processing laboratories.

Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

* Writes lab analysis reports on research findings. Analyzes and organizes results of experiments and field work. * Works with and supports research personnel in design, execution and analysis of scientific projects. Assists in the development of scopes of work including budgets and schedules. * Maintains scientific equipment in AMERI laboratories. * Maintains lab organization through establishment and enforcement of best practice policies. * Ensures that EH&S practices are followed throughout the facility by implementing a training program and overseeing record and log maintenance. * Assists in the interpretation and implementation of federal, state, and local policies as they relate to laboratory procedures and protocol. Implements and interprets operating procedures and analytical methods. Coordinates with Facilities Management in the handling of hazardous waste removal and chemical inventory. * Maintains and repairs scientific equipment for the AMERI laboratories. * Interfaces with Facilities Department to address building and utilities maintenance/repair issues as needed. * Attends weekly staff meetings and reports operational status to the Director. * Creates standard operating procedure documentation addressing Facilities and Equipment related subject matter.
