GVD Corporation

GVD Corporation is commercializing proprietary initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD) technology for producing thin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, aka Teflon ) anti-stiction coatings. Invented at MIT, this technology allows for films of pure linear PTFE chains with no crosslinking and no dangling bonds. Coatings are highly conformal, can be deposited at the nanoscale, and avoid common liquid coating problems such as capillary effects and contamination or outgassing from solvents.

GVD Corporation also currently offers silicone coatings produced via iCVD and high performance electrically conductive polymer coatings such as PEDOT (polyethylene-3,4-dioxythiophene) produced via oxidative chemical vapor deposition (oCVD).
