Jan Kowal,
I have drilled many holes in silicon and glass in the 250 to 750 micro
meter range. I do not use ultrasonic methods, simply a diamond drill in a
specialized set up on a good milling machine. If you know how to uudecode (or
whatever your preference) I can e-mail you pictures, or if you have a
disposable sample, I can drill some sample holes for you and let you know how
much it would cost to do what you want.

Does anyone know where I can get ultrasonic machining of glass and
silicon done? Typically, I need large numbers of holes in the
sub-millimetre range drilled into 3" and 4" substrates, up to 1mm
thick.
