Viswanathan:

The easiest method is to use the ISWRITE command to create a initial stress
file. Then use that file as a template. You can edit that template file with a
text editor.

Subject: [mems-talk] Initial stress using isfile, read command - need
help

Hi I am trying to use isfile command to introduce an initial stress state in one
layer of the nonlinear 181 shell element, I am not sure how to indicate the end
of file format in the initial stress file. If some had successfully tried this
one, please email me the format. If you can send in one of your input files,
that will be great. I have the file format given in ansys manual but the program
does not detect the end of file in that format.

Thannks.
