Hi.  Auburn University, Alabama, USA, does a lot of work in thick and thin
film hybrids.  Their web site is www.auburn.edu, then go to the electrical
engineering department.  A contact there is Dr. Wayne Johnson in the EE
dept.  I hope this helps.
