Hi Shiva,

you have to mesh the air and not the two plates of the capacitor! There is a
good example in the ANSYS help menu.

Hello,

I am simulating a capacitor in ANSYS, which has two plates which are meshed. In
between these two plates i am having some volumes which are not meshed and also
not assigned any material properties.

Can ANSYS assumes this unmeshed volume region as a air ? if not what are the
material properties of this unmeshed region.
