Hi Shiva

If you do not mesh the volume then ANSYS can't assume properties. I am working
on a thermal actuator, I assumed air volume between the structure and the
substrate and meshed it. But I also did another approximate way which doesnt
have the the air volume but I indirectly included the effect of air volume but
this method is not accurate. So if your nodes are not exceeding the capacity,
then my suggestion is take the intermediate volumes and mesh them.

Thanks,
Arefin

Subject: [mems-talk] Material property ANSYS

Hello,

I am simulating a capacitor in ANSYS, which has two plates which are meshed. In
between these two plates i am having some volumes which are not meshed and also
not assigned any material properties.

Can ANSYS assumes this unmeshed volume region as a air ? if not what are the
material properties of this unmeshed region.
