Comments on manual wirebonders wanted

We have an K and S manual wirebonder (model 4123) that we have been
using for the past 12 years. We find that it is very finicky machine to
use. A few people have the right touch and it works well, but for most
users it does not work well at all. It has always been this way.

My question is: is this typical of manual wirebonders or is it a
problem with this particular machine that we can fix.

Any comments on this problem or tricks for setting up the machine so
it works better are greatly appreciated.

  Thanks,
