high resistance of PDMS channels

Hi all,

I am making microchannels with PDMS for guiding flow. The liquid is driven by
electroosmosis. Without the channel I can see the liquid moving using latex
particles, while nothing could be seen with channels on. I reckon this is due to
the high hydraulic resistance. Will it be better if PDMS is treated by O2 plasma
and becomes hydrophilic? I will also increase the channel height. Will this also
help?

Cheers
