Dear MEMS-Community:
How to learn from biology?

We started a new program called TRIBOLOGY of BIO-SUBSTRATES
In a collaboration with the Max-Planck Institut in Tuebingen we measure
mechanical properties (micro friction, adhesion, indentation) of bio
substrates (flies, crickets ...) to learn how these mechanisms can be
used for MEMS.
First results can be retrieved from:

http://www.physik.tu-ilmenau.de/tribo/results.html

Any comments, suggestions or help are highly appreciated!!!

Matt Scherge
