From what I was told, the image-setter films are the same as 35mm
negative. They use a laser to expose them. I have tried printing out on a
laser printer transparency, but the dark areas were not completely dark
(the toner dots did not overlap) so I would get a small amount of exposure
through them. This does not happen with the image-setter film.
