EM4 Inc. Bedford MA. Facilities Equipment Manager Aug 2005-July 2007 Responsibilities include repair, and maintenance of all fiber optic component manufacturing, building, and clean room facilities equipment in a small manufacturing firm. Solely responsible for performing all scheduled preventive maintenance, and calibration of hybrid component manufacturing equipment: Die attach, wire bond, laser weld, fiber align, package seal, leak test, burn in, final test, and associated test equipment. Also responsible for all class 10,000 clean-room facilities equipment including: Air compressors, vacuum systems, humidifiers, air handlers, process gas delivery, Ln2, HVAC, and controls equipment. Manages all building security, building access, and property management issues. Primary contact for all fire, and safety, electrical/mechanical, and construction contractors.
Purchased manufacturing equipment at significant cost savings. Installed incoming inspection equipment to improve quality of materials in manufacturing reducing scrap, and improving line yields.
