Work Experience:
Department of Mechanical Engineering (Jan 2007 to present)
Position: Research Assistant, San Diego State University
• Pursuing research in the field of design and fabrication of the WiBandAccelero (Wide Band MEMS Accelerometer).
• Successfully designed a tunable comb type accelerometer and analyzed design in the COMSOL (FEMLAB).
• Worked on a PolyMUMPs (Polysilicon Multiuser MEMS Process). Designed a process layout of a wide band accelerometer in the CoventorWare for PolyMUMPs.
• Effectively conducted an experiment on the different types of hand motions to determine the time required to complete a particular movement and calculated frequency of each motion. Determined a range of the frequency and effect of each motion on the frequency in order to design an accelerometer for cell phone application. Also used F test (6 Sigma tool) for mean comparison
• Worked on the Self Propagating High Temperature Synthesis (Combustion Synthesis).Efficiently determined the temperature profile as a function of Aluminum Oxide and Chromium Oxide in the reaction powders. Accomplished experiments with different materials in various compositions, analyzing reaction and sintering effects.
• Writing Research Paper for publication.

Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) (Aug 2006 – Present)
Position: Industrial Audit Team Member, San Diego State University
• Working as a team member during Industrial audits for IAC. Participated in 10 Department of Energy (DOE) sponsored on-site energy assessments.
• Arrangement of audits.
• Recommendation of energy saving opportunities to industries.
• Calculation of the recommended energy saving and cost saving in the Heat Recovery Systems, Compressed Air Systems, Lighting, Photo Voltaic Cell, Fuel Change and proposed Variable Speed Drives (VFD) for motors and these recommendations are successfully implemented in the industries.
• Using DOE tools like AIRMaster and MotorMaster.
• Writing report on the energy and cost saving.

Pacific Region Combine Heat and Power (CHP) Application Center (Aug 2006 – Present)
Position: Audit Team Member, San Diego State University
• Performed 6 CHP feasibility studies for industrial and commercial facilities and successfully authored implementation reports.
• Using various tools like CogenPro and Combine Heat and Power Tool to design economical CHP system.
• Calculation of the recommended energy and cost saving in the CHP system
• Writing report on the Combined Heat and Power System

Diesel Component Works (India) (June 2004 – Aug 2004) Position: Summer Trainee, Loco Rebuilding Shop, Patiala, India
• Worked as a trainee on the testing and rebuilding shop of diesel loco.
• Assisted Engineers to perform thermal testing of the engine and die penetration test.
• Collected data for different parts and written reports.

Yamaha Motors India Ltd. (June 2003 – Aug 2003)
Position: Summer Trainee, Machine and Heat Treatment Shop, Faridabad, India
• Responsibilities included measuring of the temperature of different heat treatment furnaces and inventory of heat treated products.
• Assisted gear hobbing line supervisor on the hobbing machines.
