Hi all.
I __heartily__ endorse the proposal to start a _moderated_ newsgroup sci.mems
and I kiss the feet of anyone willing to take on the chore of managing it.
I think it could also be backed up by semi-archival Web page, "Best of
sci.mems" if someone is willing to do updates.
I am less sanguine about an unmoderated newsgroup. For a real disaster, take a
gander at sci.chem
BTW, sci.nanotech _IS_ a moderated newsgroup, run by John Storrs Hall.
I also favor retaining the present mailing list. But please, please, please,
let's all of us reply to the poster by default rather than to the mailing list
as a whole.
Cheers,
Phil

We would like to fly a micro machined accelarometer with a resolution
approaching 10e-9 g on a micro satellite. Is this kind of resolution possible?
Analog Devices have one with a 5 mili g resolution. Anything beter out there?
Thanks,
Sias Mostert

Ms. Muller,
I am not familiar with your ongoing workshops but I would very much like to
attend the next one, especially if it will focus on gyroscope developments.
Could you send me a little more information on the meeting format, likely
presenters, and any background that may be helpful. Will you be at the Houston
conference in October?
Thank you for your time.
