hello Fadi,
recently i am looking for the same values of
single crystal silicon. the fracture strength depends
on the scale of the silicon, and for bulk is usually
quoted around 200-300MPa w/ tension. The (theoretical) ultimate
yield strength is much higher. I found only one theoretical
(listed below) calculation for the tensile strain
in the [100] direction, and is around 25GPa.
The strength changes for hi temperatures. i have couple
of old papers on that if you need them.
if you find good references, i would appreciate it
if you can share them.
