I'd like to get some informaion about Energy Accommodation Coefficient (EAC).
1. We solve Reynolds equation to get the pressure distribution in a micro and
nano channel.
(e.g. the air pressure distribution between a hard disk slider and a disk
surface).
Then, we need EAC to solve the Reynolds equation. Usually, they set EAC =0.7
-1.0 .
I'd like to know whether we can get the number theoretically. If so, please let
me know.
Or, if not, I'd like to know whether it is worthy to derive EAC theoretically.
2. Frequently, EAC is used the same as Momentum Accommodatio Coefficient.
For example, many papers, such as Dr. Kaneko and Dr. Bogy . Obviously, they are
different.
Please, let me know how they can consider those two terms the same.
Thank you.
